Slide Grinding
We use two alternative grinding methods for deburring, depending on requirements:
Vibration:
The components and chips are set into motion through vibration while continually adding a liquid additive (compound).
Centrifugal Force:
Chips and components are placed into a tumbler with a liquid additive (compound) and are recirculated by centrifugal force.
Due to the resulting relative movement between chips and components in both procedures, a small amount of material is abrased in particular at the edges but also on the component surfaces. After the slide grinding process the chips and components are separated fully automatically and the components are placed in heated cornmeal for drying. The surface and edge structures of the components can be manipulated depending on the customer´s requirements and specifications by choosing the correct processing time, intensity and type of grinding chips.
